More Reflections On LBH

Imagine you’ve just entered the home of Robert Utley or Jerry Greene or Neil Mangum. Your host takes your coat and leads you into the family room, which radiates warmth and friendship; a fireplace burns in the wood-stove in the center of the room. There is a hint of pinewood in the air as you slowly sink into a deep, soft-cushioned reading chair.

The aroma of coffee fills your nostrils as you notice the steaming cup on the table beside you. As you drop one lump of sugar into your brew, your host sits across from you, takes a sip of his coffee and smiles.

Your host rummages through a box of old photos. He hands photos to you one-by-one and you immediately recognize landmarks in the photos; pictures of Custer Battlefield with Last Stand Hill, the 7th Cavalry Monument and more come into focus.

Your host pauses for a few moments then begins to speak. You take your first sip of coffee and slide back into your chair as your host begins reflections on life at Little Bighorn.
