For the first time at Little Bighorn…

members of the U.S. Armed forces parachute onto the battleground.

They marched up from the Gibbon Flats area to the center of the Custer National Cemetery where they saluted our flag.

Superintendent Darrell Cook welcomed them and guests.

Chief Historian John Doerner played Taps.

The Special Forces brought a wreath they would lay at the base of the 7 Cavalry Monument later in the day.
