The reenactors stood at attention before the monument. Remember some of these men are active servicemen in the U.S. armed forces.

Taps was played.

The young officer who recently returned from duty in Iraq prepares to present the wreath.

He places the wreath before the monument. It was very quiet on top of the busiest spot at the battlefield.

It is a beautiful wreath.

The fallen are remembered 130 years later.

The soldiers break file and mingle with the crowd.

A member of the audience visits with them. This is Ken Custer of the Custer family.
